I’ve always loved creating functional projects and finding better ways to do things. As long as I can remember, I’ve looked for ways to improve the spaces and objects around me—even something as simple as organizing my bedroom.
The first piece of furniture I designed and built was a loft bed for my ninth-grade woods class. I incorporated storage shelves and a desk, while making sure I could sit comfortably in bed. Built from 2×6 lumber sourced from my uncle’s sawmill, it was a robust design. My sister still uses the bed today, and it remains as solid as ever.
Since then, I’ve continued to be fascinated by how things are made. I’ve had the opportunity to develop skills in woodworking, welding, machining, resin casting, and more. Learning these processes and applying them to my work has helped me create designs that are not only functional and durable, but also thoughtful and beautiful.
My goal is to create pieces that balance beauty, function, and craftsmanship.
Building things isn’t the only thing I do. When I’m not working on a project, I enjoy reading, spending time with family, and exploring the outdoors through biking, climbing, skiing, and especially canyoneering.
